Roy Keane agrees to work as Martin O’Neill’s No 2 at Nottingham Forest

• Keane’s appointment confirmed after training-ground visit
• Pair also worked together with Republic of Ireland

Roy Keane has returned to English football as Nottingham Forest’s assistant manager in a move that sees him resume his working relationship with Martin O’Neill from their time together with the Republic of Ireland.

Keane had been considering an offer since O’Neill was confirmed as Forest’s new manager two weeks ago and the former Manchester United player arrived at the Championship club’s training ground on Monday.
